An idea of recipe – Sponge cake with strawberry jam :
Génoise à la confiture de Fraises
• ½ jar of strawberry jam
• 4 eggs
• 225 g of flour with incorporated yeast
• 200 g of butter
• 200 g of sugar
• 30 cl of heavy cream, lightly whipped
• butter for baking pans
• icing sugar
Preheat your oven to 180 ° C (th.6).
Butter and sprinkle with flour the bottom of two cake pans / baking trays.
Whip up the butter and sugar into a bowl until the mixture turns white.
Add the eggs one by one then gently add the yeast flour.
Spread the preparation onto the 2 baking trays and bake for 25 min.
Take the trays out of the oven.
Let cool 5 min before taking the preparation out on a baking sheet then let cool for about 15 min.
Spread the strawberry jam then the cream on one sponge cake and gently cover with the second sponge cake.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
