The sweet and flavoured Mirabelle de Lorraine jam is perfect for breakfast. It can also delicately serve as the base of a fruit pie. The Mirabelle Plum Jam is surprising and tasty when associated with some Munster or Maroilles cheese.

An idea of recipe – Roquefort cheese and caramelized mirabelle plum jam puff pastry

Ingredients : 1 jar of Mirabelle plums jam, 1 roll of butter puff pastry, 200 g Roquefort cheese, 1 iceberg salad, 50 g crushed hazelnuts, 2 tsp. balsamic vinegar, 2 tbsp. olive oil

Preparation :

Unroll the puff pastry, cut it into rectangles of about 5 cm by 8 cm and place them on a baking sheet. Prick the rectangles with a fork and bake at Th7 (210 ° C) 5 min, then leave at Th6 (180 ° C) for 20 min.

Meanwhile, unroll a sheet of greaseproof paper on another baking sheet. Then, use a tsp. to make thick disks of mirabelle plum jam.

Place in the oven with the rectangle puffs and let the jam caramelize. Check regularly and remove from the oven when the jam turns golden or slightly brown.

Wash the salad and cut it roughly.

Place 2 puff pastries in each plate, cover the pieces with Roquefort cheese and finish with a mirabelle plum tile.

Serve the salad with crushed hazelnuts and vinaigrette.
